Newton and Biggin Parish Council expresses great sadness on the death of HRH, The Duke of Edinburgh.
On behalf of the local community, Newton and Biggin Parish Council has expressed its sadness at the death of HRH Duke of Edinburgh. As well as the originating the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh Award, he became the UK president of the World-Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in 1961 and remained its President emeritus. He supported over 780 organisations, was a keen sportsman and a skilled equestrian.
We hope we can speak on behalf of Newton and Biggin parishioners in showing our respect at this time to our nations’ Royal Family.
